The International Juniors of Belgium is open to all girls and boys born in 2001 or later who are members of a recognised Golf Union.

HANDICAP LIMIT :     
  • Girls : 3.4
  • Boys : 1.4

The Player’s National Golf Union must certify the EGA handicap at the closing date.

LIMITATION OF ENTRIES : 144 PLAYERS (60 Girls - 84 Boys) 

Entry Girls

50 entries will be decided using :

  • the WAGR at the closing date in the limit of the first
  • then the lowest EGA handicap all Nations taken into account at the closing date

In addition to the 50 entries :

  • 8 Belgian players
  • 2 wild card for Royal Golf Club of Belgium

Entry Boys 

72 entries will be decided using :

  • the WAGR at the closing date in the limit of the first
  • then the lowest EGA handicap all Nations taken into account at the closing date

In addition to the 72 entries :

  • 10 Belgian players
  • up to 2 wild cards for Royal Golf Club of Belgium

ENTRY FORM : Must be sent to ANNE MARIEN no later than Wednesday 14th of August 2019 at 12.00 (a.m.)

ENTRY FEE : 150€ per team and 75€ for individual players. The entry fee must be paid upon registration

REGISTRATION      

All players must have registered in the Tournament Office (tent) before Tuesday 27th of August at 12.00 (a.m.).

Competitors who do not register up to this date and time are liable to be withdrawn from the Championship. If a player is unable to register in person, a registration by another person will be accepted.

CONDITIONS OF PLAY       

The "International Juniors of Belgium" and the "Tournament of Nations" are played over 72 holes in Stroke Play. 18 holes per day.

Cut after 54 holes

  • GIRLS : 36 lowest scores and ties over these 54 holes will qualify for the last round
  • BOYS :  36 lowest scores and ties over these 54 holes will qualify for the last round

In the event of a tie for the first place, there will be a sudden-death play-off (hole 1 and 2) to determine the winner.

Tournament of Nations

  • Team of 2 boys or 2 girls nominated by their national Golf Union
  • Each country may enter up to two teams in each category
  • Individual teams results will be obtained by the addition of the 8 scores achieved by each team
  • In the event of a tie, the best team score of round four counts

PROGRAM

  • Monday 26th : Am-Am
  • Tuesday 27th: Practice Round
  • Wednesday 28th- Saturday 31st: Stroke Play Championship and Tournament of Nations
     

PRIZES

Prize giving will take place on Saturday 31st in formal attire.

Prizes for :

  • Winners and Runner-up of the International Juniors of Belgium
  • Winning team of the Tournaments of Nations
  • The best Belgian players of the International Juniors of Belgium

GENERAL REGULATIONS       

The Championship will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Rules Limited and the General Conditions of Play of the Royal Belgian Golf Federation, and in accordance with the local rules as approved by the Championship Committee.

ENTRIES 
Entrants must conform in all respects to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the Royal & Ancient Rules Limited and sign the declaration in the Entry Form to that effect.

ENTRIES SHALL BE ACCEPTED ONLY 

  • If the Entry Form is fully completed and returned no later than the closing date
  • If the player’s National Golf Union certifies the exact handicap at the date of entry

Late entries or entries by phone will not be accepted.
All entries will be subjected to the approval of the Championship Committee, which reserves the right to accept or refuse any entry without giving reason for its decision.

WITHDRAWAL
Any withdrawal must be notified by email to anne@internationaljuniors.be before the Championship.

  • If notified and duly justified the day before the championship after 12.00 the player will be announced as disqualified
  • If not notified or duly justified, the player will not be able to play the Championship the following year
  • Entry fees will not be refunded

THE CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITTEE
Reserves the right to :

  • Disqualify any competitor making a false statement on his Entry Form
  • Reject for the next calendar year any competitor who did not send a withdrawal notification before the Championship or withdraw at any stage of the Championship
  • Exemptions may be made in case of sickness with an authorised medical certificate given to the Committee
